Biography

Bulgarian soprano. She graduated from the Geneva Conservatory, is a laureate of many national competitions and the winner of the international Operalia competition (2010). 

In 2012, she made her debut at the Royal Opera House Covent Garden (London), and in 2013 she made her debut at the Metropolitan Opera as Gilda ("Rigoletto"). Early in her career, she performed much early and baroque music, but has since added to her repertoire such roles as Violetta ("La Traviata"), Donna Elvira ("Don Giovanni"), Mimì and Musetta ("La Bohème"), the Countess ("The Marriage of Figaro"), the title roles in "Lucia di Lammermoor", "Norma", "Medea", "Iolanta", "Tosca", and "Luisa Miller", Micaëla ("Carmen"), Marguerite ("Faust"), Antonia ("The Tales of Hoffmann"), Tatyana ("Eugene Onegin"), Desdemona ("Otello"), Elisabeth ("Don Carlos"), and others. 

She regularly performs on the world's leading stages: the Metropolitan Opera, La Scala, Royal Opera House Covent Garden, Paris Opera, Berlin State Opera, Bavarian State Opera, Zurich Opera, Teatro Real in Madrid, and at festivals in Salzburg, Aix-en-Provence, Montpellier, and others.
